A global organization operating in over 60 markets is to establish a financially compliant and scalable cloud hosting solution for financial services related to automotive operations. The assignment involves creating a robust foundation for structure, security, governance, and regulatory compliance in an environment with high demands for control, traceability, and standardized working methods.

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Architect with a clear enablement profile who can take a comprehensive approach to the platform's architecture, compliance, and operational frameworks in both AWS and Azure.

• Define global account structure/subscription model and naming standards.
• Design networks, landing zones, and base infrastructure for AWS and Azure.
• Map relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., DORA, BAIT, MaRisk) and conduct gap analysis against the current cloud setup.
• Develop proposals and high-level designs to address identified compliance gaps.
• Design policy and governance frameworks, including architectural principles and governing documents.
• Define processes for secure and compliant cloud operations (incident management, access management, change processes).
• Specify the principles, responsibilities, and roles of the Cloud Enablement function and support the establishment of advisory and working methods in the organization.
• Define cost structure, budget model, and FinOps orientation, and provide guidance for cost reporting and optimization.
• Establish reference architectures and Infrastructure-as-Code and ensure security controls (IAM, encryption, logging, monitoring).
• Support development teams with self-service, CI/CD, and operational architecture.

• Deep experience in architecture in both AWS and Azure.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, such as Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Expertise in cloud security, including IAM, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience in operation, monitoring, and optimization of cloud environments.
• Understanding of financial cloud regulation, such as DORA.
• Experience in creating and implementing cloud governance at a global level.
• Ability to collaborate with development, security, operations, and business organizations.
• Good documentation skills and pedagogical ability.
• Experience in change management and enablement work.

• Experience with regulatory frameworks such as BAIT and MaRisk.
• Experience in developing process maps and operational models for cloud operations.
