Building Information Manager

The Riksdag Administration is an authority tasked with supporting the work of the Parliament. Approximately 700 politically neutral employees work at the Riksdag Administration with many different types of tasks.

Do you want to work at the heart of Swedish democracy and contribute to developing the operations that support the work of the Parliament? We are now looking for a Building Information Manager to further enhance the property unit's competence in digital methods and BIM.

The property unit's 35 employees are primarily responsible for caring for, preserving, and developing the Parliament's buildings and collections of artworks. The Parliament's building is part of the Swedish cultural heritage and is a protected object.

Your Responsibilities

As a Building Information Manager, you will work on implementing and managing BIM as well as structuring, quality-assuring, and making the Riksdag Administration's building information accessible. You will handle model and drawing materials and be jointly responsible with a colleague for the property unit's drawing archive. Your work will include ensuring that documents, metadata, and models are correct, complete, and traceable.

Your role involves receiving and distributing model-based project materials, updating digital materials, and assisting the property unit's other functions with drawings and building information. You will continuously work on updating property systems such as FM Access and Faciliate with correct and quality-assured information, including room and area data according to applicable standards, and ensuring information flows between models and management systems.

You will be responsible for developing and managing systems and methods for drawing management, property documentation, and digital twins. This includes following established guidelines for classification, naming, and structure, as well as contributing to the further development of the operations' routines. The work also includes handling information classification related to the drawing archive and information security.

The role also includes internal support and training, where you assist colleagues in finding the right information and understanding systems and routines. You will collaborate with employees from the administration's various operations as well as with external actors and monitor the environment in the field of building and property information.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is an engineer in installation and construction, or an architect, or has a vocational education in the field of CAD/BIM or equivalent education with an interest in technical property information.

You have good knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit. It is an advantage if you have experience as an information manager of CAD/BIM/DU or have worked as a designer in an installation discipline, such as electrical or HVAC.

It is a requirement that you have experience working with database management and can describe how you work with information management using XML or CSV. It is an advantage if you have good knowledge of the software Faciliate and FM Access or other equivalent property systems, as well as experience in programming. Experience working in public organizations is also an advantage.

In the application process, you may need to present reference works for assessment.

Great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities. You have a strong service mindset, are curious, and have a desire to understand the operations to identify existing needs. Since the work involves many contact points, you need to be both communicative and receptive, as well as have good collaboration skills and the ability to build trust. Furthermore, you are meticulous, structured, and quality-conscious in your work approach.

The position is classified in a security class, which in this case requires Swedish citizenship. We welcome applicants with diverse experiences and backgrounds.

The Riksdag Administration applies a probationary employment.

  • Employment type: Permanent position
  • Scope: Full-time

We Offer You

At the Riksdag Administration, you will work with stimulating, developing, and socially beneficial tasks close to the core of democracy. Here you will face professional challenges and good conditions regarding vacation, occupational pension, parental leave, and professional development. In the Parliament's premises, there is a gym and training room with various training sessions every day. We strive for our employees to have a good balance between work and leisure. The work is conducted largely in a security-protected classified network, which means that remote work can only occur to a limited extent.
