We are looking for an experienced and confident leader for a qualified interim assignment as Acting Director within Real Estate & Facility Management (RE&FM) in the Nordics. The assignment suits you who thrive in change, have strong commercial and strategic abilities, and want to make a clear difference in an organization with significant societal relevance.

Assignment Focus In this role, you will have overall responsibility for the Nordic real estate portfolio and Facility Management delivery. The focus is on optimizing utilization rates, reducing square meter footprints, enhancing sustainability performance, and ensuring cost-effective and quality service to the organization.

You will lead the Nordic RE&FM organization through an intensive period characterized by new structures, new supplier agreements, and ongoing construction and change projects.

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for the management and development of the Nordic real estate portfolio

  • Optimization of the portfolio through needs adaptation, consolidation, and divestment

  • Responsibility for FM delivery in the Nordics via external suppliers – commercially, qualitatively, and operationally

  • Strategic and operational interface with internal customers, tenants, landlords, and suppliers

  • Escalation and decision-making level in complex matters

  • Ensure structured needs and capacity management with a focus on standardization and cost control

  • Lead and develop the Nordic RE&FM management team

  • Represent the Nordics in international RE&FM forums and collaborate with global functions

  • Senior governance and follow-up of ongoing construction and change projects

Change Agenda during the Assignment

  • Stabilization of the new organizational structure and new management team

  • Transition and implementation of new Nordic FM supplier agreements in 2026

  • Ensure progress, quality, and economy in several parallel construction projects

Collaboration Areas You will collaborate closely with international RE&FM units and central support functions such as Finance, IT, HR/P&C, and Sustainability/Environment. Externally, you will work with landlords, authorities, and a wide range of FM and specialist suppliers.

Your Profile We are looking for someone who is a confident, communicative, and business-oriented leader with a proven ability to lead through change.

We expect you to have:

  • Relevant academic degree from a university or college

  • Broad experience in property management (RE), Facility Management, and modern workplace concepts

  • Strong experience in organizational change and operational efficiency

  • Documented negotiation skills and experience with various supplier and contract models

  • Experience in leading managers and management teams

  • Very good ability to work in complex Nordic and international environments

  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written (German or Dutch is a plus)
