On behalf of the government, the National Property Board of Sweden (SFV) manages our common natural and cultural heritage. We manage a variety of state-owned properties – including government buildings, courts, castles and royal estates, theaters, museums, embassies, as well as one-seventh of the country's area consisting of forests and land.

As employees, we are proud to work for an authority, operate based on the state’s value framework, and contribute to positive societal development.

Your Role

The National Property Board uses geographic information in several parts of its operations. The use and demand for GIS-related services are constantly increasing, and we see a need to further develop GIS to meet the future needs of the organization. GIS is part of the digitalization journey that SFV is driving. Important development projects focus on data capture, storage, refinement, and visualization of structured geographic information. Examples of current projects related to GIS include the renovation and reconstruction of the Opera House in Stockholm, management and validation of documentation for land and park maintenance, tree inventories with field inspections, and documentation of technical supply in the ground. Another important project is the implementation of a new property system with integration against GIS to create an information hub. Another example is supporting analysis work in a preventive manner for upcoming extreme climate situations.

To manage this development, SFV needs to hire a specialist with solid technical knowledge and experience in GIS. As a GIS specialist, you will help advance GIS usage and will be responsible for developing and applying GIS throughout the agency in close collaboration with the management organization. You will be part of the property information team alongside SFV's GIS coordinator. You will belong to our new Property Information Unit in the Project and Technology Department.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who has:

  • relevant university education with a GIS focus or other equivalent education,
  • experience from GIS work at an applied level, in a project management role or equivalent,
  • very good knowledge of geographic information systems with spatial database storage,
  • good knowledge and several years of professional experience with FME Forms,
  • good knowledge and several years of professional experience within the ArcGIS Enterprise environment, both ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Portal/Online, as well as service management in between,
  • the ability to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish, and
  • good knowledge of English.

It is advantageous if you have:

  • knowledge of AutoCAD and handling of structured model-based data, such as IFC or Revit, and
  • experience in a management role within public sector GIS.

Personal Qualities

We place great importance on your personal qualities. As a person, you need to be responsible, results-oriented, and structured. We also see that you are collaborative by adapting, wanting to find solutions through an unpretentious focus on the common goal.

To apply for the position, we ask you to attach your CV and answer a number of selection questions based on the requirement profile. In the first selection, we will only consider your CV and your answers to the questions. We wish for you to respond concretely and concisely, and that there is a clear connection between your answers and your CV.
