Product Leader for Marine Command Support Systems
We are looking for a product leader who wants to help drive the work on marine command support systems forward. With us, you will have the opportunity to use your skills where they truly make a difference. Together with an experienced team, you will help create solutions that leave a mark – both today and in the future.
About the Position
As a product leader, you will support the technical manager and chief engineer by holding the technical design responsibility for command support systems within the amphibious area during ongoing procurement, major modifications, and maintenance. You will contribute to defining requirements and procuring secure subsystems, from sensor and communication equipment to cryptosystems and command systems - which together enable effective command of marine field units.
In this role, you will drive the development and management of the systems, ensure quality, configuration control, and follow up on status and performance. You will identify functional and safety challenges and develop solutions that ensure the systems function optimally.
The role also gives you the opportunity to support defense logistics planning by providing decision support and identifying needs for research and development, which affects both today’s and tomorrow’s technical solutions. The work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues within FMV, the Armed Forces, and industry.
The position is based in Stockholm and travel, both domestic and international, may occur.
About You
We are looking for someone with an academic background in a technical field, officer training, or other relevant education or experience that we consider equivalent. You have relevant experience working within the technical field, such as sensor systems, communication and liaison equipment, or command systems, and have worked with systematic lifecycle management. To succeed in this role, you also need experience in systems work, such as technical requirement breakdown, as well as verification and validation of relevant technical systems.
Furthermore, you have experience in planning, executing, and evaluating maintenance within relevant technical areas and have experience from operational management and maintenance of command support systems or other comparable technical systems of similar complexity.
It is an advantage if you have experience working as a project manager and have been involved in operational management and maintenance of technical systems such as sensor systems, communication or liaison equipment. We would also like you to have worked with systems security and have knowledge of or experience with agile development methods, such as DevSecOps, Scrum, or similar frameworks. If you have previous experience in a technical position within the Armed Forces or tactical and technical use of marine material, we see this as an advantage.
A fundamental requirement is that you have an excellent ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English and hold a B driver's license.
Personal qualities are of great importance to us. We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds and experiences and are looking for someone who enjoys collaborating with others, is attentive, and solves problems constructively. You communicate clearly and ensure that messages are conveyed. Furthermore, you are self-driven, structured, and have the ability to plan and organize your work effectively. You also have a strategic approach, with the ability to see the big picture and long-term connections.
