Control Systems Engineer
Are you an experienced engineer in electrical power or energy systems who wants to work with control systems to keep Sweden shining? Apply now!
In the role of Control Systems Engineer, you will be part of project teams within station investments, collectively responsible for achieving project goals. You will primarily be responsible for control system issues in projects from the preparation of procurement documents to the completed project. Furthermore, you will work with requirements towards suppliers and contractors. Your responsibility includes ensuring that the facilities are built according to our contracts and technical guidelines. You may participate in contractor testing, both at the manufacturer and on-site, to ensure the right quality. You will also participate with the contractor during the energization of the station's new facility components. You will take part in updates of technical guidelines for control systems and act as technical support to nearby units with control system issues.
There are good opportunities for development in both the role and the field as a whole. You will have the chance to attend training, work with the latest technology, and collaborate with some of the industry's most competent employees, both internally and externally.
The work also involves making assessments between different technical solutions together with our contractors, keeping schedules and deadlines, and maintaining good relationships with larger contact areas.
You will belong to the Control Systems AC Project North or Control Systems AC Project South unit, which currently consists of nine people each, whose main task is to support the investment activities within Svenska kraftnät with technical expertise and to be the requirement setter for the technical design of our facilities.
About You
To thrive in this role, we want you to have a strong interest in this technical area and a desire to deepen and broaden your expertise in the field. The role requires you to be meticulous, structured, and value good collaboration. Together with your colleagues, you will tackle complex problems and work solution-oriented with curiosity and engagement.
Mandatory Requirements
- We want you to have a YH, bachelor's, or master's degree in electrical power, energy systems, or equivalent. You may also have acquired relevant skills in other ways that the employer deems equivalent.
- You are communicative and express yourself well in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
- Driver's license B.
- Several years of experience working with control systems for transmission networks at 130–400 kV or hydropower stations (>40 MW production/station).
