JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The section for data provider and statistics service is located in Örebro and currently has 13 employees. The section belongs to SCB's department for Social Statistics and Analysis. Today, the section includes Statistics Service, SCB's data provider service, SCB's switchboard, and communication via social media. In this position, you will work with both data provider service and Statistics Service.
The purpose of the data provider service is to receive calls from individuals as well as companies and organizations that have been selected to participate in an SCB survey. This may involve informing about SCB and a specific survey, booking an interview, assisting with login or other technical support, and granting extensions to companies and organizations. The work also includes working in SCB's switchboard and handling SCB's posts on social media.
The purpose of the Statistics Service is to help the public, researchers, students, authorities, the public sector, and businesses as well as the media to find and understand SCB's statistics. SCB exists for the users, and one of our most important missions is to make the statistics accessible to them. Statistics Service plays a very important role in this. In Statistics Service, we have direct contact with users. The work also includes guiding statistics users on Eurostat's website and to databases.
The position entails significant responsibility, and it is important to provide a good response in every call. You need to have a pronounced sense of service. You will learn about SCB's organization and gain good knowledge of SCB's website, which will be one of your work tools.
Do you want to
- Answer users' questions about statistics that come in via phone and email by guiding them on the website.
- Help users understand and navigate Swedish and international statistics and, if necessary, assist them in clarifying their issues and informing them about access to fee-based statistics.
- Answer calls from individuals selected for a survey or interview and inform them about SCB, a specific survey, assist with login, or schedule an interview.
- Respond to calls and emails in first-line support for companies and organizations and answer their questions regarding various business surveys, provide technical support, send out new passwords, grant extensions, or escalate cases to second-line experts.

QUALIFICATIONS
We want you to have:
- Academic education with a focus on business administration and/or economics
- At least 30 credits in the subject of statistics
- Good knowledge and experience of working with PCs
- The ability to express yourself well in speech and writing, both in Swedish and English.
- Knowledge of the Office suite
We consider it an advantage if you have:
- Experience in customer service, phone experience, communication work

We are looking for someone with excellent collaboration skills who can contribute to the team with a positive attitude and great commitment. You enjoy helping others and are pedagogical, attentive, and accommodating in phone and email interactions. You also have a strong interest in societal issues!
As a person, you need to be service-oriented, flexible, responsive, patient, and self-driven. You must be able to handle rapid changes in work intensity.

OTHER
This position is available in the section for data provider and statistics service in Örebro.
The employment is a special fixed-term employment until further notice, but no longer than December 31, 2026. You will work hourly with varying hours per week. Irregular working hours apply, so work in the evenings and weekends may occur. Start as soon as possible but by agreement.
