We are looking for a Technical Coordinator with a focus on components for our client, a leader in high-tech solutions for the defense industry. The role is positioned in a team that works to ensure that the right components and spare parts are available for our customers' advanced systems to be maintained and function for many years to come.
The work involves managing and following up on components throughout their lifecycle, with a particular focus on obsolescence management – that is, handling parts that have ceased to be manufactured, are no longer available, or are at risk of disappearing from the market. You will work closely with both technical specialists and suppliers and be a key person in driving issues forward from identified problems to decision-making.
This is a coordinating and administrative role with a clear technical connection. You will have many internal contacts and contribute to the team working more proactively to avoid component shortages in the future.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow up on component status and identify risks of parts becoming obsolete
- Register and manage cases in internal systems when suppliers notify that a component will cease production
- Coordinate and involve the right internal people to drive forward solutions (e.g., alternative suppliers or redesign)
- Contribute to overview lists and documentation for which parts are most critical for long-term operation and maintenance
- Ensure that the right internal functions contact suppliers to gather information about product lifespan and future availability
- Is either a recent graduate with a university degree in a technical field or has a few years of experience in a similar role (preferably from a technical company)
- Is structured, meticulous, and has good administrative skills
- Communicates well and thrives in a coordinating role with many points of contact
- Speaks and writes Swedish fluently, as the language is used regularly in daily work
It is not necessary, but advantageous if you have:
- Experience working in systems and documenting processes clearly
- Worked with component management, maintenance planning, or another technical/administrative role.
