Job Description

We are looking for someone who wholeheartedly wants to take on the task of strengthening students' language skills through positive reading experiences.

You will work integrated in close collaboration with the school's staff and student groups to support students' language development. Together with the school's educators, you will also work on introducing students to library usage, information retrieval, and source criticism. We would like you to have knowledge of the school's governing documents and the ability to work systematically based on these.

This is a development-oriented position where you are expected to take the initiative to systematically create a library service where one has not existed before. Your tasks will be very varied during the establishment phase, and you will start from a newly built library in the autumn of 2025.

To help you succeed in your assignment, you will have an active network with a coordinating function centrally in the municipality that provides necessary support in matters related to the operation. We work with user-friendly digital tools and have Koha as our library system.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a librarian
• Experience working as a school librarian
• Experience working with students who have other native languages than Swedish
• Experience in educational activities
• University degree in library and information science or studying to become a librarian

We would like you to have knowledge of the school's governing documents and the ability to work systematically based on these. High digital competence and interest in digital communication. Good literature knowledge. Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing. Good organizational and collaborative skills as you will have many tasks to manage.
