We are looking for a hands-on Hardware/Firmware Test Engineer for a leading industrial operation in process automation. You will be part of a development team working on the next generation of IO systems. The role combines hands-on work with hardware and technical firmware testing in a system environment – perfect for you who thrive close to the product and development.

• Build and assemble systems with new IO modules, mechanics, and base plates
• Perform firmware tests in hardware and in a system environment
• Conduct functional tests (Functional Type Test) of new communication modules
• Document test results and contribute improvement suggestions
• Collaborate closely with development and verification teams

• Practical experience in hardware and/or firmware testing
• Experience in testing in hardware and system environments
• Good technical understanding and experience with hands-on work
• Ability to work independently and in a structured manner

• Experience with industrial automation systems
• Previous work with IO systems
• Experience with Control Builder or IEC 61131 programming
• Experience from larger industrial environments or product development
