High School Teacher in Entrepreneurship, Business Economics, and Law

The High School and Adult Education Committee is responsible for the municipality's commitments under school legislation for high schools, adapted high schools, municipal adult education, special education for adults, and Swedish language instruction for immigrants. The committee is also responsible for work-oriented rehabilitation and the municipal refugee reception. Dragonskolan is Umeå's largest meeting place for youth! Here, you will meet 2,100 students in a recently renovated building.

Employment Type

The position is a full-time temporary contract from April 7, 2025, to June 18, 2025, with a possible extension during the 2025/26 academic year.

Your Responsibilities

You will teach students in entrepreneurship, business economics, and law. Your duties will also include planning lessons, collaborating with colleagues on students' learning, and other common teacher tasks such as grading and administrative work.

You will be part of a team with other teachers responsible for the education of our students. The role also includes mentorship. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for driving and developing the pedagogical work based on the curriculum and the goals of the organization.

About You

We are looking for someone with a teaching license for high school in the subjects of economics and law. You should also have experience teaching at the high school level.

You are a reliable adult and a good role model. You have the ability to connect with students, see each individual, and create a positive atmosphere. Personal suitability is of great importance.

Due to the suitability check law, a police record extract must be presented upon employment.
