Job Responsibilities

Would you like to contribute to the development of the family-centered approach (FCA) in Hisingen? Do you have experience in collaboration and are you interested in driving and leading processes? Then this position might be for you.

The overall mission of the FCA coordinator is to coordinate and drive the development of early preventive and promotional work in collaboration with many other professional actors who meet children and their families.

In the role of FCA coordinator, you will develop collaboration forms and interventions together with the city's and region's operations as well as with parts of civil society. The work takes place at both strategic and operational levels.

We are now looking for a coordinator for the area of Backa, Tuve, and Kärra. You will belong to a team of three FCA coordinators in Hisingen, and together you will drive the development work of the urban area regarding, among other things, general parenting support, child health networks, and local coordination for ages 0 to 6 years. This also includes creating action plans, managing budgets, and following up on interventions. There is also a central coordinator network that jointly drives development issues. You will also work closely with FCA coordinators for ages 6 to 18 years.

You will be the coordinator at the Family Center in Tuve and for the Backa family center-like operation (planned to become a family center in 2026) and work closely with the coordinator in Kärra. As a coordinator, you will be on-site at the family center in Tuve and the family center-like operation in Backa, close to the operational staff.

The position is co-financed by the Västra Götaland Region and the Social Administration Hisingen according to the agreement for the family-centered approach. Your employment is under the Preventive Unit for ages 0–6 in the Social Administration Hisingen.

Qualifications

To apply for the position, you need to have a degree in social work, a university degree in public health, or another direction that the employer deems relevant.

In addition, you should have:

  • Experience and competence in coordination and collaboration.
  • Good ability to express yourself in both writing and speaking, as well as good ability to document meetings and processes.
  • Experience in leading groups and collaborations, facilitating meetings, workshops, and other similar contexts.

We see that you have experience in driving and coordinating strategic change and development work and have good competence regarding the target group of parents with children aged 0 to 6 years.

We consider it an advantage if you have:

  • Experience in early preventive and promotional work and collaboration based on the needs of children and families.
  • Experience and knowledge of the family-centered approach in collaborative processes and education and experience in project and process management.
  • It is an advantage if you have knowledge of the conditions for the municipality's and region's work regarding children and families.

You who apply are collaborative and have good communication skills, showing interest and respect for those you meet in your work. You are independent and can make your own decisions within the framework of your assignment. You take responsibility and drive processes forward, collaborating with others on overarching issues to create added value and can effectively analyze and identify the core of problems and suggest possible solutions.

You who apply have a good ability to work at both strategic and operational levels and to facilitate meetings. Since you will be sitting at several different workplaces and driving collaborative processes with many different professions, it is also important that you are comfortable working independently, initiating and maintaining many contacts, and driving the work forward with a great deal of personal responsibility.

Interviews will be conducted in week 8.

We hope we have sparked your interest - welcome with your application!
