Male Personal Assistant Wanted – Full-time in Partille

My current assistant is moving on in life – and now I am looking for you who want to step in and make a real difference.

I am an adult with an active life who needs support in everyday life, both with practical matters and human interaction. You will work closely with me and become an important part of my life – so it is important that we click as people.

The Practical:

• The position starts as a part-time employment, but if we enjoy working together, it may transition to a fixed-term employment as long as the assistance assignment lasts with a full-time workload of 100%.
• Working hours are 07:00–00:00 on a rotating schedule, including weekdays and every third weekend.
• A driver's license is required – but you do not need your own car, you will drive mine.

About You:

You are reliable, present, and secure in yourself. Perhaps you already have experience in assistance or care, perhaps not – the most important thing is that you are attentive, enjoy taking responsibility, and are comfortable both taking initiative where needed and giving space where it counts. And you have probably come a long way in life – you know how to make everyday life and work fit together.

GIL has coordinated personal assistance since 1989. The cooperative has roots in the Independent Living movement, which is based on the principle that those with disabilities know best how they want to live their lives. Normally, the person receiving assistance is the closest supervisor of the assistants, or a person with special knowledge about the individual is appointed.

As a personal assistant, you support a person with a disability to live the life they want to live. To attract and retain competent and satisfied assistants, we invest in training and events. • GIL has a collective agreement with Fremia-communal.
