Dedicated Preschool Assistant Wanted at Finngösa Preschool
We are currently seeking a dedicated preschool assistant to join us at Finngösa Preschool for the spring term of 2026.
With us, the child is always at the center, and we strive to provide children with a safe, educational, and fun time together at preschool. Our preschool is inspired by the philosophy of Reggio Emilia.
Your role as a preschool assistant is to work with the team, based on the children's interests, needs, and the goals of the curriculum, to educate and teach the children. You create conditions for all children to play, learn, develop, and have fun together. Play and joyful learning are given ample space in everyday life. You are well acquainted with the preschool's educational mission and have a humanistic view of people.
The preschool is a democratic meeting place that values diversity, listening, and participation. It is a place for shared learning, the creation of knowledge, culture, and identity. The educator's task is to listen to the children's experiences, thoughts, and ideas and to conduct teaching that focuses on the preschool's goals to further challenge the children.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a qualified preschool assistant and has experience working in a team where you have been involved in planning and implementing educational activities for preschool-aged children. You have knowledge of and experience with systematic quality work as a foundation and the ability to translate theory into practice. Furthermore, you need to have experience using AAC in your work with children and knowledge of working with clarifying pedagogy. Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form is a prerequisite for the position. It is an advantage if you have experience working based on the philosophy of Reggio Emilia, including project work with the hundred languages, as well as experience working with pedagogically accessible and stimulating learning environments.
In addition to the above, we would like you to:
- Have good collaboration skills, showing curiosity and engagement, and communicate clearly to build trusting relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues.
- Be flexible in your approach.
- Have a clear focus on children's learning and believe in the competent child.
- Be aware of the importance of pedagogical documentation and be well acquainted with digital tools.
- View reflection in the professional role as a necessity.
- Be active in developing a stimulating, joyful, and creative learning environment and have the ability to see and meet the individual child's needs for support and challenge.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

The Education Administration is responsible for the municipality's childcare and educational activities from preschool and after-school to preschool class, primary school, adapted school, high school, adult education, and various commissioned training. The various activities of the Education Administration have a clear common focus on all children's and students' conditions for completing their studies.
At Finngösa Preschool, there are three departments, where children are divided into age-integrated groups. Here, you will work with wonderful, engaged colleagues who focus on children, learning, and development. The preschool's activities are characterized by commitment, safety, and warmth. Exploratory and joyful learning are given ample space in everyday life.
