School Social Worker at Lekstorpsskolan in Lerum Municipality
Lerum Municipality is known for its scenic locations with lakes and forests. The municipality has 3,200 employees and 43,000 residents but expects to grow significantly in the coming years. Lekstorpsskolan is a K-9 school with approximately 420 students. The school is beautifully situated with the forest directly adjacent. There are good connections between Lerum Municipality and Gothenburg.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a school social worker for a 10-month temporary position who, together with the current social worker, will work health-promoting and preventive by supporting the school's staff in psychosocial issues, working with groups and entire classes, participating in meetings with students and guardians, and having individual supportive conversations with students.
As a school social worker, you are a key person in promoting school attendance and following up, investigating, and preventing school distancing and bullying. You will work on safety issues and lead the school's efforts within the framework of the plan against discrimination and bullying.
You will be part of the school's student health team, which consists of school management, special educators, special teachers, school nurses, social workers, and school psychologists.
You will also collaborate with external actors such as social services, habilitation, UPH, and BUP. All documentation is done in the DF Respons system.
As a social worker in Lerum Municipality, you will participate in professional meetings once a month with social worker colleagues and professional developers. As a social worker in Lerum Municipality, you also have the opportunity to participate in external supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or equivalent higher education. We prefer that you have experience working as a school social worker and good knowledge of the Education Act.
It is advantageous if:
- You have worked in social services with children and youth or have previous experience in schools.
- You have experience or training in systems theory work.
- You have practical experience in investigation/mapping within social services or schools.
We are looking for someone who is empathetic, unpretentious, and confident in their professional role. You should have a strong commitment to the psychosocial situation of children and youth. We seek someone who wants to work closely with students in a preventive and promoting manner using various approaches.
You are structured and clear in your work and thrive in collaboration with other professionals. You take responsibility for your tasks, enjoy working both independently and in a group, and are used to working with freedom under responsibility. You are professional and respectful in your interactions with students and in contact with guardians and colleagues. You are flexible and curious in your approach to work.
