About the job

We are now looking for a housing supporter for our housing support unit.

The housing support unit within the area of Disability is aimed at individuals over 18 years old with:

• psychological disabilities, mental health issues, and substance abuse
• neuropsychiatric disabilities
• mild intellectual disabilities

The housing support aims to provide professional support to individuals in regular housing. The individual’s wishes are the foundation for the design of the housing support where the user’s abilities are utilized. The intervention should pedagogically provide support to strengthen the individual’s ability to manage their daily life.

Job responsibilities

As a housing supporter, you meet the user's needs for practical support at home, social support, and pedagogical support based on the individual’s life situation and needs. The intervention should be rehabilitative/habilitative and contribute to a functioning everyday life where the user's self-determination is always the starting point. We work to utilize the individual’s abilities and knowledge to increase the sense of participation and self-determination.

We work in four teams with different focuses based on the problems and needs of the user.

If necessary, you collaborate with other care providers to strengthen and support the individual user. You are also the contact person for some users and establish implementation plans in consultation with the individual. You are responsible for ongoing documentation based on statutory routines.

You distribute medications and administer insulin based on delegation from our nurse. You actively participate in our team and workplace meetings.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who has completed and approved care and nursing education with a specialization in psychiatry or other relevant education combined with experience in neuropsychiatry/psychiatry. Experience with the target group of psychiatry/substance abuse or neuropsychiatry is a requirement. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability where flexibility and collaboration are seen as particularly important.

Requirements:

• Approved grades from one of the following programs - Child and Leisure Program with a focus on social work, Leisure Leader Education with a focus and/or experience in working within the disability area, or Care and Nursing Program
• Proficiency in Swedish in speech and writing as well as good reading comprehension
• Basic digital competence
• Driving license B

Meritorious:

• Experience of similar work.
• Experience in documentation.

You will work scheduled hours such as days, evenings, and weekends. The position is a permanent employment at 100% with the possibility of a desired degree of employment.

Your employment will be within the Social Welfare Sector of Lidköping Municipality, which means that you may have to work in other units.
