Support Assistant for Sågdalsgatan Group Home

In Mölndal, we take pride in having Sweden's most important jobs, where we together create the best possible everyday life for our citizens. With knowledge, courage, and creativity, we develop our operations and contribute to making Mölndal an even better place to live and work. Welcome to make a difference in people's lives every day!

The Health and Care Administration, with its approximately 1500 employees, is one of the administrations in Mölndal and encompasses elderly care, support for people with disabilities, and health care.

At Sågdalsgatan Group Home, five individuals with different types of disabilities reside. Two are retirees who need support to enhance their daily lives and participate in enjoyable activities. The other three residents receive assistance with communication, personal care, and other daily tasks. We are a close-knit team with extensive experience and competence. We are now looking for a new colleague who wants to help create the best possible everyday life for our users.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a support assistant, you will work to support users in their daily lives by creating a comprehensible, manageable, and meaningful existence while working preventively and systematically. You provide professional support and strengthen each individual's self-esteem and belief in their own abilities - all work is based on the user's individually established implementation plan.

You will be involved in establishing and/or maintaining social networks. Your role also includes supporting users in developing their communication skills and sense of belonging, as well as providing support in social activities, both individually and in groups. The goal is to support full participation in society based on each person's individual wishes.

You will assist with all daily tasks such as planning, personal hygiene, clothing care, laundry, cleaning, shopping, finances, medication, social training, culture, and leisure.

You will belong to a team of support assistants and support pedagogues. You will work with social documentation in the documentation system Treserva and continuously follow up and revise implementation plans. We work with adaptable and flexible schedules. The needs are continuously adjusted based on the needs of the operation, which means you need to be prepared to work during the day, evening, and weekends.

We value your ideas and engagement, and together we create conditions for development and an independent life for our users.

Does this sound like something for you? Apply today and become part of our fantastic team!

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who

  • Has training as a support assistant, nursing assistant, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
  • Has experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and extensive care needs in a residential setting with special services.
  • Has knowledge of low-arousal approaches, clear pedagogical methods, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).
  • Has good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.

It is an advantage if you have experience working with Timecare and Treserva.

As a support assistant, you show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You have an open and positive attitude, as you base your actions on the user's needs. You have the interest, willingness, and ability to help others, and you strive to present solutions. In your work, it is important that you act independently based on what the situation requires without needing support from others. It is also important that you have the ability to work collaboratively with others to complete tasks and achieve goals. You understand the common mission, act accordingly, and contribute to the whole.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Welcome with your application!
