What does a personal assistant do?

Working as a personal assistant is a varied and rewarding profession, where you provide support to another person in their daily life and everything that comes with it. Tasks may include personal care, household chores, cooking, and accompanying clients to various activities. Your workplace is wherever the client is – at home, at work/school, or during leisure activities. The needs and daily life of the client dictate your workday and tasks.

Who are we looking for?

Our clients are children, teenagers, and adults with various disabilities and needs – each with a unique daily life. Therefore, we are looking for individuals who reflect our diversity in terms of age, gender, experience, skills, and personality for all our different assignments.

To thrive in a role as a personal assistant, we believe you are a reliable and stable person who takes responsibility. You instill confidence and are accustomed to working independently. You are attentive to your surroundings and adapt to different situations you encounter.

Education or experience

Education or experience in healthcare, social care, or social work is advantageous, but the greatest emphasis will be placed on personal suitability for the specific assignment. Good knowledge of Swedish is a requirement for communication and documentation. You must also be at least 18 years old on your first day of employment to work with us.

Matching in our assignments

The holiday period is mainly during June – August, and we hope you can work most of this period. There is an opportunity to start working as a substitute already now in many of our assignments. When we match you, we take into account your skills, interests, and what motivates you.

Start date will be agreed upon, and the employment form during the summer is hourly employment. Working hours may vary between day, evening, weekend, overnight shifts, and awake nights depending on the workplace – therefore, we appreciate your flexibility regarding these.

A summer job with us provides valuable work experience and can be the start of a career in healthcare or development in your professional role. There are opportunities to continue working with us after the summer as a substitute or in a permanent position in many cases.

In all our assignments, there is a present supervisor who ensures a good working environment and effective communication. At the beginning of your employment, you will receive thorough training during work hours, which includes shadowing in the assignment and skills-enhancing e-learning courses.
