About the assignment

Our client in Järfälla is in need of a communicator starting on February 2nd and lasting until June 2026, with the possibility of extension until possibly October. Working hours are office hours Monday to Friday. This is a consulting assignment through us at Bemannia.

You will become part of the communications unit in the communications department responsible for Järfälla Municipality's overall communication and branding efforts. There are a total of 14 employees with an important role in strengthening relationships with the residents of Järfälla, businesses, and other stakeholders. The communications department also includes a service center that provides citizen services through various channels and has 23 employees.Your tasks

In the role of communicator, you will work with cross-municipal communication, both externally and internally, but with a focus on internal communication and the intranet. Contributing through communication so that managers and employees can focus on the municipality's core mission for citizens. The intranet plays an important role in facilitating daily work through accessible and user-friendly information.

As a communicator, both strategic and operational communication work is included. The work is carried out in close collaboration with management and employees from various departments in the municipality with cross-municipal assignments.

Furthermore, your tasks will involve:

• Working broadly with various types of issues and both external and internal communication, but the focus is on internal issues related to HR, IT, and finance.

• Working both with strategic communication planning and operational execution of communication efforts that contribute to the municipality achieving its goals.

• Making communicative assessments and priorities in consultation with managers and management groups for several departments.

• Working independently, strategically, and operationally with structure and content for the intranet and taking the initiative to lead improvement efforts in consultation with the intranet manager.

• Producing and publishing texts, images, and other content for various channels.

Your qualifications

• Degree in media and communication studies or equivalent communication training.

• Many years of experience in strategic and operational communication work in a larger organization where internal communication has been a significant part.

• Several years of experience working with content for intranets, including being accustomed to working independently in publishing tools such as Sitevision or similar.

• Experience in creating engagement among managers and establishing effective working methods.

• Experience in change communication.

Meritorious

• Experience working in politically governed organizations and municipal operations is a merit.
