Communicator for the Swedish Armed Forces
Do you want to drive internal and external communication that makes a difference for Sweden's defense capability? We are looking for a communicator who can both act hands-on and take a strategic approach.
About the unit:
The Communication Section is currently part of the Support Division at FMLOG Headquarters, which supports and directs all operations within the unit of the Swedish Armed Forces Logistics on behalf of the unit commander. As a communicator, you will be part of a team that supports each other, shares experiences, and takes responsibility together. We are in the midst of a development and growth journey where communication is central.
Main responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and follow up communication based on communication plans.
- Write editorial texts: press releases, web and intranet articles, and reports. Photography and editing.
- Develop messages, talking points, and Q&A.
- Tailor, package, and produce as well as project manage communication in internal and external channels.
Qualifications:
- Academic education in communication/marketing/journalism or equivalent post-secondary education.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, including media relations and planning, execution, and follow-up at both operational and strategic levels.
- Very good Swedish in speech and writing.
- Good understanding of digital communication.
- Driver's license (B).
Meritorious:
- Experience from larger organizations.
- Experience in crisis communication.
- Project management experience.
Personal qualities:
You are analytical, driven, and independent with good collaboration skills. You keep a cool head when the pace is high, make wise assessments, and prioritize correctly when the situation changes. You are confident in dialogue with the media and management and can stand your ground when necessary.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Other:
- Employment conditions: Permanent, full-time.
- Location: Stockholm. Travel occurs (approximately 4 days/month).
- Flexible hours with the possibility of some remote work (about 1 day/week).
