Full Stack Developer at the Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS)
The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements secure youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse throughout the country. At SiS, your work life will be an exciting challenge. No matter where in our organization you work or what position you hold, you help create life-changing transformations.
At our headquarters in Solna Business Park, we are about 350 employees, and together we work to support and develop the authority with around 4000 employees.
Job Description
For us, digitalization is more than technology – it is an enabler for good care and treatment. At the IT and Digitalization Department, about 55 dedicated employees work every day to strengthen the authority's operations.
We are now entering an exciting development phase with an expanded mission for the entire authority. Together, we drive the digital transformation with a focus on secure, accessible, and modern solutions that make a real difference – for employees, young people, and clients.
We are now looking for experienced full stack developers who want to take a central role in the development of our digital platforms.
In your role as a full stack developer at SiS, you will develop and improve internal applications that support our core operations, digitize and streamline work processes, build user-friendly and sustainable system support, and work cross-functionally throughout the development chain – from design and architecture to implementation and testing. You will also contribute your expertise to our development teams, where collaboration and learning are an integral part of everyday life. This is a role where your expertise will be crucial in driving important societal projects forward, and where you will have the opportunity to influence and create real benefits for the most vulnerable in our society.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- education in computer science, system development, or equivalent that SiS deems relevant for the position
- several years of experience as a full stack developer
- very good knowledge of .NET, C#, HTML/CSS, React (or similar frontend frameworks), TypeScript, SQL, and GIT.
- experience working with unit tests and automated testing
- good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
It is an advantage if you also have experience in:
- domain-driven design and advanced messaging management
- Linux and Docker
- case management systems and/or journal management
- integration and identity solutions
- CI/CD with Atlassian Bitbucket/Bamboo
We are looking for someone who is solution-oriented, self-driven, and analytical, with good communication skills. You can explain complex issues in a simple way and collaborate unpretentiously and professionally with others. Furthermore, we see that you enjoy developing and improving work methods and routines and want to contribute to driving our work forward. You share our core values: Respect, Care, and Clarity. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal suitability.
At SiS, we value good employee engagement. This means that you, as an employee, take responsibility for your work, contribute to development, and participate in good collaboration. Read more about our employee engagement.
