System Administrator at Military Intelligence and Security Service (Must)

The Military Intelligence and Security Service (Must) conducts defense intelligence operations and military intelligence and security services to support Swedish foreign, defense, and security policy, as well as for mapping external threats to Sweden.

About the Position

The Systems Department is being strengthened – we are looking for an experienced system administrator with a strong interest in technology and solid experience in developing, establishing, and managing IT systems with high security requirements.

Main Responsibilities

As a system administrator, you will be part of a broad and varied IT operation where you are responsible for the management and development of IT services with high security and separation requirements.

Your tasks include, among other things: development of IT systems, management, system administration, and some IT operations. The role also includes configuration and administration of networks as well as work with virtualization solutions and backup.

You will work both independently and in a team. The working method (agile, waterfall, or other forms) is adapted depending on the nature and goals of the assignment.

Qualifications

  • Relevant education for the position or equivalent experience acquired in another way that the employer assesses as equivalent.
  • Several years of documented professional experience as a system administrator or equivalent.
  • Current experience with Microsoft Windows server and client environments.
  • Current experience with networks and IT infrastructure.
  • Good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.

Meritorious

  • Experience of similar work within the Armed Forces.
  • Knowledge of Cisco IOS (equivalent to ICND2).
  • Experience in virtualization (e.g., VMware or Citrix).
  • Experience with Ansible, Linux, or PowerShell.
  • Driver's license for passenger cars (B license).

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in technology and a high level of security awareness. You are passionate about your field and have a strong motivation to constantly learn more, take initiative, and solve problems. You work well both in a group and independently. Documentation, order, and follow-up are a natural part of your working method.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
