We are looking for an experienced Software Developer with expertise in Java and Javascript for a company in the defense industry.

About the role

You will be part of a dedicated software team that develops and further develops a Command and Control Information System (CCIS) – a management system for higher levels within the Air Force. The system supports functions such as air surveillance, air combat management, and planning of complex exercises. The work involves developing new features, improving existing software, and integrating solutions into the system. You will work in a secure environment intended for defense classified information, which means 100% on-site work together with colleagues.

Your responsibilities

Develop and improve software solutions in Java and Javascript
Work with both frontend and backend in a complex system
Participate in design meetings and contribute to technical solutions
Collaborate closely with project managers, testers, and integrators
Ensure high code quality and usability

We are looking for someone who has

4–5 years of experience in full-stack development
Deep expertise in:

Frontend: Javascript, ExtJS/React, CesiumJS, OpenLayers
Backend: Java (SOAP API), PHP, Linux, Bash
Databases: Postgres, MongoDB

Relevant university degree or engineering education
Good knowledge of Swedish and English
Swedish citizenship and the ability to obtain security clearance

Meritorious

Experience from the defense domain
Understanding of IT security
Experience with larger projects
