Professional Galaxy is looking for a Senior Software Engineer – Computer Vision, Active Safety on behalf of our client.

We are now seeking a senior Software Engineer in Computer Vision for a consulting assignment with our client within Qualcomm Automotive. The assignment is located in Linköping and involves working with advanced algorithms for active safety and automated driving in an international and technically leading environment.

About the assignment You will be part of the RA Traffic Information team that develops state-of-the-art computer vision and machine learning solutions for active safety features and ADAS. The role combines algorithm development with production-oriented software development where ideas are turned into robust code that runs on Qualcomm's vehicle platforms.

You will work in a cross-functional team close to both research and production and contribute to features used by global automotive customers.

Responsibilities Design, implement, and optimize computer vision and ML algorithms for active safety features Develop robust, production-ready software in Python and C/C++ Collaborate with algorithm, system, and verification engineers to take features from concept to production Drive technical workflows and contribute to architecture and design decisions Act as a technical role model and support less experienced colleagues Contribute to the improvement of tools, workflows, and development processes Requirements 4–8 years of relevant software development experience Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, or equivalent Excellent programming skills in Python and C/C++ Experience with modern software development methods such as code reviews, testing, and CI Ability to work independently and take technical responsibility Preferred experience Development in Computer Vision and/or Machine Learning

Especially CNNs, Transformer networks, and temporal/sequence-based models Experience with PyTorch or similar deep learning frameworks Familiarity with development tools such as Jira, Git, and GitHub Experience from the automotive industry or other safety-critical domains Previous experience in technical leadership, mentorship, or team-driving roles Personal qualities Collaborative and thrives in cross-functional teams Willing to share knowledge and contribute to team development Driven, responsible, and quality-conscious Curious and innovative with an interest in new technology Strong ability to drive technical issues forward Other information Work model: On-site Possibility of extension: Yes Assignment period: 2026-02-02 – 2026-09-25
