Archivist for Örebro Garrison

Main Responsibilities

As an archivist, you will primarily work with caring for, organizing, and cataloging archival holdings. The tasks also include the development and revision of plans, descriptions, routines, and other governing documents, preservation and disposal investigations, as well as planning and following up on the organization's goals. In the role of archivist, you will handle information that requires high integrity and a security-conscious approach.

Qualifications

  • Academic degree, including at least 60 credits in archival science
  • Several years of work experience as an archivist
  • Experience handling information that is subject to confidentiality
  • Good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish
  • Familiar with working in the Office suite
  • Driver's license B

Meritorious

  • Experience in organizing and cataloging archives
  • Experience in investigative work within document management
  • Experience in handling electronic documents
  • Good knowledge of public administration
  • Experience in the Swedish Armed Forces' operations
  • Experience working in the public sector

The employment is a full-time permanent position that begins with a 6-month probationary period for those who do not already work within the Swedish Armed Forces. The position includes international work obligations and a duty to be placed in wartime.
