About the Role

The position is a summer temporary job, so we hope you are available for work between weeks 25-33. Securitas will assign you a schedule so you can plan your summer with both work and enjoyable activities in good time! Whether you want to work day or night, in a fast-paced or calm environment, Securitas has the job for you.

Working as a guard is perfect for you who enjoy working with people and helping them in their everyday lives. As a guard in the retail department in Stockholm, you will become part of a close-knit group of around 100 colleagues. The length of work shifts varies, but is often 8-12 hours, during store opening hours.

This is a role for you who want a varied position with a lot of freedom under responsibility. As a retail guard, you are a visible and important part of the store environment – you contribute to safety and comfort for both staff and customers. You prevent incidents, handle emergencies, and in case of crime, you intervene and call the police.

The role requires you to be decisive, confident in your actions, and prepared to work in environments where vulnerable situations may sometimes arise. Often, the assignment is flexible, allowing you to combine the work as a retail guard with other assignments within Securitas. Many who started in this role have also further educated themselves to become store inspectors or taken other specialist paths with us.

Requirements

To work in this role, you must have passing grades in Swedish and English from the first year of high school, as this is a formal requirement for employment. Furthermore, a B driver's license is necessary as the job largely involves using a car in service.

It is an advantage if you have previous experience of similar tasks. Civil or military security guard training is also seen as a benefit and gives you a good foundation to quickly adapt to the role.

As a person, we believe you are service-oriented, calm, and organized, and can handle periods of high work pace. You are interested in technology and have an easy time understanding instructions. We see that you who apply are an independent person and trust your own abilities, quickly understand problems, and solve them creatively. You have a systematic and careful approach with an eye for detail. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal suitability for the position.

For employment within Securitas Sweden AB, it is required that you have passing grades from high school in Swedish and English and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to each regulation, a background check will be conducted. The assessment concerns legal compliance, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from you, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment when evaluating suitability for each position.

Salary and employment conditions are based on the collective agreement between the employer organization Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
