Job Description

Security guards play a key role in maintaining safety at Sweden's most critical locations. These protected sites, such as military installations, government agencies, energy facilities, and other essential services, are crucial for our society to function. Disruptions or attacks on these can have serious consequences for the entire country.

Security guards have the authority and are specially trained to identify and prevent various types of threats, such as unauthorized intrusions, sabotage, and unauthorized documentation of sensitive areas. These incidents can pose significant security risks.

We are now looking for several security guards for full-time positions in our Protection department, where you will work to protect important and critical services. In this role, you will not only have a meaningful job but also the chance to be part of a larger context where your work is crucial for Sweden's security.

To describe the positions at the Lovön site as accurately as possible, we spoke with one of the security guards on site who describes the work as follows:

"For me, what stands out about the job is the nature-oriented environment in which you work. You also work a lot with job rotation, which allows you to learn all the different tasks and makes the work varied. Additionally, it's a close-knit team that works here, and we do fun things together even outside of work".

This is a position for you with high integrity, good judgment, and a strong security awareness. You understand the seriousness of the mission and take responsibility for acting correctly even under pressure.

We prefer that you have a few years of relevant work experience, preferably from a security-related position or another role where responsibility, reliability, and judgment have been central.

Employment - This is a need-based employment.

Working Hours - We are looking for staff for all shifts, Monday to Friday, with both day and night shifts.

In shift work, you will primarily work 12-hour shifts. You will complement our team at the need-based employment level (temporary worker).

Location - Lovön, near Ekerö, in western Stockholm. 10 minutes from Brommaplan. Free parking is available for those with their own transportation.

You will, for example,:

• Staff the monitoring and control center
• Ensure that unauthorized persons do not gain access to the protected site
• Conduct internal and external inspections within the area
• Be responsible for vehicle searches and transport controls
• Work proactively with security and protective measures in and around the protected site

Training: If Securitas chooses to proceed with your application, training may be assigned as part of the recruitment process. If you are a military security guard, it is often transferable to civilian use.

Requirements

• Approved grades in Swedish and English from the first year of high school
• Swedish citizenship
• Driving license B

Meritorious

• Experience from the security industry or similar operations
• Trained civil or military security guard training
• Training in HAS
• Experience with vehicle searches
• Good physical condition
• Approved in security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585)

Security Clearance

As part of the recruitment process, you will undergo a security clearance interview, in accordance with applicable security protection legislation. To be offered employment, you must be approved in the security clearance, including an assessment of your personal suitability and loyalty.
