Fire Supervisor

ISS is one of the world's largest service companies and soon we will celebrate 80 years in Sweden! With over 6,500 employees in the country, from north to south, we deliver services that make a difference. We offer our customers everything from cleaning to technical services, food and workplace services. We create workplaces where people thrive, companies grow, and where sustainability is a given – socially, environmentally, and commercially. Our employees are the heart of what we do – and crucial for our customers to feel safe, seen – and for their workplaces to flourish.

About the Role

ISS Facility Services and Locum have a comprehensive collaboration regarding technical services that include Electrical, HVAC, Property, and Fire. For the operations at Danderyd Hospital, we are now recruiting a Fire Supervisor responsible for ensuring that the delivery meets functional requirements and other specific requirements related to Systematic Fire Protection Work (SBA). In this role, you will work independently to implement and follow up on fire protection measures, as well as ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Main responsibility for ensuring that ISS's delivery meets functional requirements and other requirements related to SBA
  • Perform and document inspections to ensure compliance with fire protection laws and regulations
  • Supervisory responsibility for fire technicians and DLC technicians
  • Develop written instructions and tools to maintain high quality in fire protection work
  • Maintain ongoing contact with internal and external parties to ensure effective fire protection
  • Responsible for ensuring that fire protection leader training according to SBF's guidelines (parts 1 and 2) or equivalent is conducted

The role reports to the ISS Site Manager at Danderyd Hospital, where the position is also located. The Fire Supervisor has personnel responsibility and is part of the management team for the contract.

Please note that Danderyd Hospital operates security-sensitive activities, which means that a security clearance with a background check will be conducted before employment.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in fire protection management and documented experience working with fire protection issues within industry or facility management. You may have previously held a role as a fire alarm technician, sprinkler technician, or gas alarm technician. To be successful in this role, we see that you have a positive attitude, good pedagogical skills, and the ability to initiate, plan, prioritize, and implement actions both individually and in a group. You are responsible and understand the importance of creating the right conditions for safe and effective fire protection work. You see the big picture and drive and follow up on key performance indicators against goals, change, and development efforts. As a leader, you are attentive and have a good ability to bring out the best in the team.

Formally, you need to have the following:

  • Very good knowledge of the area's laws and regulations, e.g., the Fire Protection Act, SBF 110, SBF 120, and SBF 500
  • Documented experience of conducting SBA work independently
  • Experience in conducting inspections and establishing action plans to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
  • Ability to develop written instructions and tools that support and ensure the quality of fire protection work

We Offer You

We offer you a dynamic and responsible role in a safe and well-established work environment. As a Fire Supervisor, you will have a great opportunity to influence and contribute to the development of fire protection and safety at Danderyd Hospital. You will work alongside an engaged team where we share knowledge and experiences to constantly develop and improve.

We value continuous professional development and offer opportunities for further education in the field of fire protection, for example through SBF's training programs.

At ISS, you will also become part of a global corporation with great opportunities for development – both nationally and internationally. We believe in investing in our employees and offer training, career programs, and networks that support your professional journey.

Our culture is based on the values of quality, responsibility, honesty, entrepreneurship, and community. These values permeate our daily work and shape a workplace where we together create safety, stability, and a future – for each other, our customers, and society at large.
