Summer Temporary Position – Technician for the R&D Laboratory

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are now looking for a technician for our R&D laboratory to cover for regular staff during the summer. The position is primarily a temporary summer position.

As a technician in the R&D lab, you will support our development department as well as our sites around the world, primarily in fatigue testing. You will also participate in simpler development and improvement work.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Fatigue testing of wire and springs
• Manufacturing test springs
• Basic evaluation and documentation of test results
• Reporting of tests
• Basic fracture analysis under a microscope
• Mechanical testing of wire such as tensile and bend tests
• Some maintenance and basic repairs of testing equipment and machines

You will receive on-site introduction and support, and the tasks will be adapted to your experience.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for someone who is meticulous, responsible, and has a technical interest. You enjoy practical work, are handy, and find it easy to collaborate with others. The role is suitable for you if you want to work full-time even after the summer, as this summer position is a great opportunity to get to know the company for the future.

You need:

• High school education, preferably with a technical focus or engineering education
• Good knowledge of Swedish
• Basic knowledge of English
• Experience working with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
• Be practically inclined and enjoy tinkering
• Be self-driven and structured

Preferred, but not required:

• Experience in lab testing or technical work
• Experience from industrial or workshop environments
