We are looking for a temporary social worker during the parental leave of the regular position holder, from March 1, 2026, to January 31, 2027, within economic assistance.

The Economic Assistance Unit is responsible for investigating the right to economic assistance. We are five employees who together offer citizens good accessibility and are service-oriented with the client in focus. Economic assistance is led by a team leader and a unit manager. The same unit also includes two social workers who work with adults with harmful use and dependency, as well as violence in close relationships.

As a new employee with us, you will receive an introduction together with an experienced social worker.

Your mission

As a social worker with us, you are responsible for everything from receiving new cases, investigation, and actively supporting clients towards self-sufficiency. Great emphasis is placed on social work together with clients. You follow up on interventions and work solution-focused with the client. You contribute to evidence-based practice where theory, experience, and the client's perspective weigh equally.

Your qualifications and merits

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in social work or another equivalent education assessed by the employer
• Knowledge of current legislation
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing, as an important part of the work consists of documentation and communication.

Experience in working with economic assistance is an advantage.

You are structured and organize your work efficiently. You are flexible in your work and act professionally. You relate to others in a responsive manner and enjoy collaborating with other professionals, always with the individual in focus. You enjoy working in a team and are interested in participating in developing the group's competence and work community. You have a holistic view in your assignment and consider the bigger picture. We place great importance on personal suitability.
