The Technical Surveillance business area is growing rapidly, and Vattenfall Eldistribution is installing more and more security technology in the asset portfolio. In addition to the reinvestment needs of outdated equipment, there are strong drivers through increased demands for fewer and shorter power outages and enablers for further digitization. The Asset Surveillance department is responsible for the operation and management of all security technology within Vattenfall Eldistribution, such as video surveillance, area protection, intrusion alarms, fire alarms, and access control systems. The mission is national with a lifecycle perspective, and the department actively works as a technical requirement setter and enabler in investment projects.

As a Security Technician, you will work with our managers, application specialists, contractors, and suppliers to ensure that the technical equipment installed, or already present in the asset portfolio, functions as intended. The systems are critical to operations and must work around the clock, every day of the year. Travel is frequent in this position, primarily within your region but occasionally nationally as well.

Examples of Responsibilities:

• Conduct commissioning of installed security technology on-site at the facility
• Configure and set parameters in collaboration with the application specialist
• Perform periodic testing and inspections to ensure functionality
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues, including repairs for incoming fault reports
• Be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of security technology
• Act as Facility Manager for security technology in your region

Requirements

Do you enjoy having many points of contact, working independently while being part of a helpful team? Then this could be the role for you! We are looking for someone who enjoys being in the field and solving problems on-site. You are solution-oriented and confident in taking your own initiatives. You are social and comfortable creating and maintaining contacts, while also being meticulous and structured. You have the ability to adapt when the situation requires flexibility and enjoy working both independently and in close collaboration with others.

We believe you have:

• Several years of experience in the security industry, for example as an alarm technician or lead installer.
• A broad telecommunication understanding of how security systems are connected and installed.
• Product knowledge of current systems and products in the field.
• Basic electrical knowledge and understanding of high and low voltage.
• Good computer skills and basic IT knowledge
• Basic knowledge of network communication (TCP/IP)
• Familiarity with applicable regulations and standards in the field
• Driver's license (B)
