Project Manager in Automotive

Do you want to take a key role in a project that truly makes a difference – where you lead cross-functional teams, drive progress, and set the structure from day one? As a Project Manager in automotive, you will work closely with technology, production, and business, being the one who holds the project together.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Academic Work is looking for an experienced Project Manager for an assignment in Gothenburg. You will be part of an established team of project managers and take responsibility for one of several ongoing projects in wire harness production. The role involves leading cross-functional collaborations with engineering, finance, logistics, operations, and quality – both internally and externally – and keeping the whole project flow together. The pace is high and decision-making paths are quick, and you will play a central role in ensuring that the project develops according to plan with the right quality, timing, and cost control.

To thrive and succeed in this role, you need to have strong communication skills and move effortlessly between internal and external contacts. You are used to working in environments where conditions can change rapidly and have experience leading teams through change. You work systematically with timelines and milestones, keep the project direction intact, and use Excel as a natural tool for follow-up and analysis.
