Interim Manager Wanted for the IT Department of the County Administrative Boards
The IT department of the County Administrative Boards is now looking for an experienced and confident interim manager for the System and Data Platform function. This is a full-time consulting assignment starting in February 2026, initially running until March 2027, with the possibility of extension.

About the Position
The IT department of the County Administrative Boards is responsible for IT supply to all 21 County Administrative Boards in Sweden. The organization comprises approximately 250 employees and is characterized by high demands for stability, security, and continuity in deliveries.
You will lead the System and Data Platform function, which consists of 8 employees and several consultants, distributed across multiple locations in southern Sweden. The function is responsible for the development and management of platforms for email, chat, video, and conferencing. New collaboration platforms will be launched in the spring of 2026, which will entail a clear focus on management, further development, and stabilization.
Travel is required for the job. Remote work is possible to some extent.
Your Main Responsibilities
As interim manager, you will be responsible for:
- Leadership, governance, and development of the System and Data Platform function
- Personnel, budget, and delivery responsibility
- Planning, follow-up, and reporting within the area of responsibility
- Supplier management and collaboration with other functions
- Participation in projects, steering groups, and cross-unit assignments
- Active participation in the unit's management group
You will report to the head of IT Operations Support and work closely with the unit manager and other IT functions.

- Several years of managerial experience in IT within larger and complex organizations
- Experience in organizations with high demands for secure and robust IT operations
- Good understanding of IT infrastructure and technical deliveries
- Experience in budget work, financial follow-up, and supplier management
- Extensive experience in leading, coaching, and developing employees
