Information about the Armed Forces and the recruiting unit:
The Stockholm Amphibious Regiment (Amf 1) operates where water meets land and serves as the link between naval and army combat forces. Fast-moving combat boats and hovercraft make the unit agile. Our weapon systems allow us to operate in four dimensions: on and below the water surface, in the air, and on land. Thus, we can exert control over coastal areas.
The unit trains amphibious soldiers, coastal rangers, sailors, and officers in several main services. Amf 1 has production responsibility for the war unit 2nd Amphibious Battalion and 2nd Marine Base Battalion. The unit is based in Haninge (Berga).
