Your mission

In the role of support assistant, you will base your work on the individual needs and wishes of the residents, providing support in daily life from a pedagogical approach. Together with other staff members, you will work towards making the day meaningful and enriching. You will support and guide with personal care such as showering, meals, medication management, cleaning of client rooms and common areas, community contacts, transportation to and from medical appointments, and communication. An important part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the resident to develop their abilities and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your tasks also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans.

  • establishing a weekly schedule for personal hygiene, laundry, and cleaning

  • supporting and assisting the individual regarding finances

  • motivating participation in activities that feel meaningful

  • caring for wounds or other specific care needs
