Your Role

We are looking for an experienced and engaged project manager for our project office at 9LV HW Design, part of the Naval Combat Systems business unit. In this role, you will be responsible for driving internal R&D projects or sub-projects within our external customer projects.

Our customer projects are large and complex projects within Naval command systems, and our customers are based both in Sweden and abroad. Your task will include ensuring that projects are executed according to schedule, budget, and quality standards.

Our products within Naval command systems are used on marine platforms, such as surface vessels and submarines, and are tasked with compiling information from sensors, data links, and weapon systems to provide the operator with the best opportunity to make the right decisions.

Your Tasks:

• Plan and coordinate projects and sub-projects together with system owners, with designers in electronics and mechanics, as well as with embedded software
• Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to ensure project goals are met
• Manage project budgets and resources effectively, even in dynamic and changing environments
• Perform risk and opportunity analyses to minimize problems and maximize success
• Report project status to relevant stakeholders and make quick and well-informed decisions when needed
• Contribute to continuously improving our processes and routines to keep us at the forefront
• Ensure that all projects comply with Saab's quality and safety standards

The position is located in Solna Strand and may involve travel in the role.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree in engineering, preferably in hardware
• Several years of experience in driving complex projects and teams in a dynamic environment
• Good knowledge of project management methods and tools, as well as the ability to adapt to new challenges
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, with the ability to inspire and engage teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick and well-informed decisions

Experience in project management within hardware and/or the defense industry is a merit.
