The ambulance service assesses and treats patients at home, at the scene of accidents, and during transport to hospitals, and is also responsible for transports requiring special medical care. Ambulance Services Västerbotten performs around 33,000 missions in the county. In Åsele, we have our emergency vehicle that works with acute care in collaboration with Åsele municipality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel safe.

The nurse in ambulance services meets patients of all ages who have suffered from acute illness, injury, or who need care during transport. You assess and treat patients at home, at the scene of accidents, and during transport to healthcare facilities. The job is about making a difference for others and showing humility while maintaining calm in demanding situations. In the ambulance, you work in teams and our nurses have the medical responsibility. You and your colleague also have the ultimate responsibility to check at the beginning of each shift and throughout the shift that the ambulance has the correct equipment so you can perform your tasks in a patient-safe manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. It is an advantage if you are specialized in ambulance care or have another specialization that we consider valuable for the operations. Professional experience from emergency care is also an advantage.

You have a B driver's license and good driving experience. You master Swedish in both speech and writing.

Working in ambulance services can be physically demanding, so we require physical endurance.

As part of the recruitment process, you will undergo a fitness test and driving test.
