Job Advertisement: Nurse at the Surgical Clinic

We belong to the Center for Surgical Operations, which includes surgery, orthopedics, and Anesthesia/Operation/ICU in Skellefteå. In surgery, we conduct both emergency and elective general surgery, including urology. Our endoscopy unit is located at the surgical clinic, where we perform over 3000 endoscopic examinations annually.

The clinic's premises are shared with orthopedics. At the clinic, planned inpatient and day surgery operations are booked, as well as all outpatient visits and endoscopic examinations. We have two surgical wards, one of which is a weekly care ward, where we also have a chemotherapy unit.

At the clinic, planning and contact nurses, urotherapists, endoscopy nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, dietitians, and social workers work together.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel safe.

Your main responsibilities will include booking endoscopic examinations, assisting and administering medications, and cleaning endoscopes. You will be responsible for waiting lists and play a vital role in achieving production goals and meeting care guarantees. Another significant area will be telephone counseling and other telephone services. You will also collaborate closely with the schedule manager for endoscopies both in surgery and the medical clinic, as we perform both surgical and medical endoscopies, as well as with the planning nurse at the clinic.

You will be an important part of a complete team of nursing assistants, nurses, endoscopy nurses, and doctors. Each day offers new lessons and challenges while you contribute to creating safety and quality in care.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a licensed nurse.

We see that you are a positive person with an open attitude, which contributes to a good atmosphere in the workplace and ensures that patients and colleagues feel secure. You have good communication skills, a structured approach to work, are stress-resistant, service-oriented, and able to juggle multiple tasks.

As collaboration is an important part of your work, you have a good ability to work with others.
