District Nurse/Child Nurse to Vännäs Health and Family Center

With 33 health centers and medical stations, we are where you are. We are now looking for a district nurse or child nurse for Vännäs Health and Family Center.

Primary Care West is a base unit with four health centers in both urban and rural areas, distributed across four municipalities: Vindeln, Vännäs, Bjurholm, and Umeå. The health centers have a close collaboration within the base unit. Good connections with local and regional transportation enable commuting to, from, and between our units.

Vännäs Health Center is beautifully located by the banks of the Ume River and is a newly built modern facility located about 30 km from Umeå city. About forty employees work at the health center. In Vännäs, we work in different teams, conduct active workplace environment work, and have good cooperation with the municipality's various care services.

Vännäs Family Center, which is also part of the operation, is centrally located in Vännäs. There, services include child health care (BVC), maternity care (MVC), open preschool, and social services. About 8 employees work at the family center in a well-functioning collaboration between the region and the municipality.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a district nurse/child nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel safe.

You meet patients at our health centers and/or family centers of all ages, and the job is varied. The distribution of work across the two different units may also vary, and the setup is planned in consultation with your immediate supervisor based on the needs of the operation.

Working with us in this role involves standard tasks at a health center within the primary care's basic mission, such as receiving both acute and planned outpatient patients and providing telephone advice. When we take care of our acute patients, we work in teams together with district doctors and nursing assistants. Working at the family center with BVC services involves working with children from newborns to 6 years old according to the child health care program.

Together, we actively work to develop methods that promote patient safety, accessibility, and a good working environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a licensed nurse with further education as a district nurse or child nurse. We consider experience from primary care or equivalent experience as an advantage. Personal competence is highly valued.

As a person, you enjoy working in teams, but you also thrive in and have the ability to work independently. You have a flexible working style and can handle varying workloads. Additionally, you are engaged in and take responsibility for your work. You are attracted to improvement work and have a solution-oriented approach.
