Kalmarsund Gymnasium Federation is a municipal federation tasked with conducting and developing upper secondary education and municipal adult education for the member municipalities of Borgholm, Kalmar, Mönsterås, Mörbylånga, and Torsås. We have approximately 4000 students and 600 employees spread across our five schools.

The federation office consists of employees who work across the federation in various areas such as board work, finance, administration, law, work environment, admissions, HR, communication, IT, food, systematic quality work, and federation-wide competence development. The federation office can be compared to a municipal management office consisting of a management group, managers at the federation level, and support functions. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a communicator at Kalmarsund Gymnasium Federation, you will work with ongoing communication efforts, including publishing and supporting the operations. The role involves participating in and driving parts of both external and internal communication, as well as being responsible for selected communication projects. You will have a varied assignment where you, together with your closest colleagues, drive and plan the ongoing communication work. You will ensure that our messages reach out from the strategic communication plan to publication on the web, intranet, and social media, as well as by writing press releases. Participation in simpler photo or video production may occur. You will also project manage communication efforts for various projects within the organization, where you will both develop the plans and analyze the effects of the implementation.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a structured and self-driven communicator who can plan and implement communication efforts, with a focus on web and intranet. You work independently with publishing and content in digital channels and have a good sense of structure, order, and administration.

We see that you have a relevant academic degree in media and communication studies, or equivalent education/experience that we assess as comparable. To succeed in the role, the ability to create an overview, follow up on activities, and ensure delivery is required. You are service-oriented and responsive, with good collaboration skills and confidence in contact with colleagues and various parts of the organization.

You have good experience in text production and editing for the web, with an understanding of target group adaptation, plain language, and accessibility adaptation of digital content. Experience with web publishing in SiteVision or equivalent CMS is an advantage.

We would also like you to have knowledge of Adobe programs, especially InDesign, and be able to work with simpler graphic production as needed. Experience or understanding of crisis communication is an advantage. Personal qualities such as communicative, reliable, and meticulous are crucial. We place great importance on personal qualities in the selection process.
