We are looking for a brave, curious, and driven innovation leader who wants to lead the municipality's development work and strengthen our ability to think innovatively, collaborate smarter, and create solutions that simplify everyday life – for both employees and residents.

As an innovation leader, you will have a strategically important role with significant influence over the municipality's transformation journey. A central task will be to identify and strengthen working methods that reduce administration and hassle in the organization, so that resources can be freed up for core assignments and operational development. You will work closely with the municipal director, operations, and external partners to renew, simplify, and improve the municipality's way of working.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your main responsibilities

• Coordinate and inspire the municipality's overall innovation and transformation work.
• Identify obstacles, duplicate work, and unnecessary administrative processes and lead the work to simplify and free up resources.
• Support development projects in dialogue with operations.
• Establish working methods and structures that strengthen creativity, culture, and innovation capability.
• Monitor the external environment and disseminate knowledge about trends, digitalization, sustainability, and new solutions.
• Build collaboration with businesses, academia, networks, and other municipalities.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who

• Has relevant academic education or equivalent experience.
• Has documented experience in innovation work, business development, or change management.
• Is accustomed to leading processes that create simplification, reduce administration, and free up time for core operations.
• Has good analytical skills and a structured yet creative working method.
• Is communicative, relationship-building, and comfortable working in complex organizations.
• Has the courage to challenge established patterns and the ability to get others on board.
