RESPONSIBILITIES

As an accounting manager, you have an operational and central role. You play an active part in driving improvements, increasing quality, developing, and streamlining work methods within the municipality's accounting and closing processes, and assisting in budget and forecasting processes. You work both independently and in a group, primarily within the Central Accounting group, which is part of Bokslut and Analysis, and you maintain close dialogue with the municipal executive office.

You have primary responsibility for the economic processes but also work to some extent with ongoing bookkeeping and accounting. You monitor legislation and maintain the municipality's regulations and structure related to accounting. You have a leading role in preparing monthly, interim, and annual accounts for the municipality and the municipal group, as well as reporting to the national accounts (SCB).

In the group, you participate in and are responsible for developing key figures related to statistics and financial analyses, accruals, declaration work, periodic closings, and reconciliation work. You prepare reports in decision support systems and report to government authorities and projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are primarily looking for someone with several years of experience in qualified economic work within the municipal sector and who has worked with consolidated accounts (group accounting). You have a Bachelor's degree in economics. If you also have a Master's degree or a Master's, we view that positively.

You have good knowledge of the Office suite, especially Excel, and express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish. Experience in municipal accounting and good knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations is seen as an advantage.

As a person, you are analytical, structured, and meticulous. You thrive in an operational role with significant personal responsibility and have the ability to work independently while collaborating well with others. You have a professional and service-oriented approach, are confident in a consultative role, and communicate clearly, factually, and unpretentiously. You handle feedback constructively and contribute with a positive and solution-oriented approach in your daily work.

Bokslut and Analysis belongs to the Service Administration, which is Eskilstuna municipality's service organization. We have a total of 30 employees in the unit, including team leaders and unit managers. Our most important task is to provide professional and equitable support to our operations. We work with a strong focus on business development and continuous improvements.

The Service Administration coordinates, develops, and delivers qualitative support with a broad range of services to the municipal group's operations. What we deliver should benefit the residents.
