We are looking for staff for Tärnan - childcare during inconvenient hours

Are you interested in pedagogical work with hours in the evenings, nights, and weekends? You want to work closely with children and families to create safety and comfort in a home-like environment. A fixed-term employment with a possibility of extension.

Job Responsibilities

In childcare during inconvenient hours, we take care of children aged 1-13 years when their guardians are working. The service is open from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM on weekdays and all day on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. The children should feel at home with adults who attend to their needs.

The tasks include pedagogical work, simple cooking, putting children to sleep and waking them up, changing diapers, as well as light cleaning and laundry.

An important quality and task is to build trusting relationships with the children and their guardians for close cooperation for the children's best interest.

The work involves taking responsibility and making wise decisions in the moment.

About the Workplace

The mission of the municipal executive board is to lead, coordinate, and follow up the municipality's activities. We ensure that the municipality operates efficiently and that residents receive the services they need, while also supporting elected officials and administrations.

Currently, there are five children enrolled in the service. The number of children changes over time based on needs. Tärnan's facility is located close to one of the municipality's preschools. There is primarily another full-time worker and some substitutes. As an employee, you may also need to work in the preschool during the day/other activities during inconvenient hours.

What We Are Looking For

To succeed in this role, you are/have:

• qualified childcare worker
• experience working with children
• good knowledge of the Swedish language both orally and in writing

It is advantageous if you have:

• experience in childcare during inconvenient hours

In this work, you should be able to take responsibility and make your own decisions as required by the situation. You are solution-oriented, flexible, and have the ability to take your own initiative. You should find it easy to collaborate and have the ability to maintain good relationships with children and guardians. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
