The Nature Schools Axevalla Horse Center, Svenljunga, Sötåsen, Uddetorp, and the Biological Vocational College serve as competence centers for the growth and development of the green industries. Together with the business community and researchers, the administration drives energy projects and cutting-edge research at the schools. Description

In the scenic Sötåsen outside Töreboda, you will find a center for ecological and sustainable nature management.

Here, organic farming is conducted, KRAV-approved animal husbandry with cows, pigs, and sheep, and large-scale organic gardening. We also have a facility for dog training and an animal house with everything from snakes and reptiles to rodents and birds. Sötåsen has simply everything related to animals and nature.

Here, you can study the Nature Management Program with a focus on agriculture, animal care, and gardening with a total of 11 different vocational outcomes. There is also an adapted high school with a focus on Forest, Land, and Animals. We offer all our students the opportunity to live in a boarding school. The overarching goal of the operation is to support students towards goal fulfillment in school and to ensure that students feel safe. Therefore, the work includes supporting and motivating students in their development and learning, as well as creating conditions for success in school. To achieve goal fulfillment in school, a student may need enhanced residential support.

Main Responsibilities

You will work with a small group of students who need extra support to manage their everyday lives, both socially and with planning and implementation of various daily routines. We work based on implementation plans commissioned by the social services in the student's home municipality. You will occasionally lead activities or support the youth in participating in them.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Has studied social pedagogy or the leisure leader program. You may also have education or work experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• Has experience working with youth with neuropsychiatric disabilities and intellectual disabilities.
• Has a B driver's license for manual transmission.
• Has basic IT skills.
• Is familiar with social documentation according to SoL.

Personal Qualities

We place great importance on a positive attitude and that you have a sense of service and responsibility. You have strong social skills and find it easy to build relationships with youth and meet each individual based on their unique needs. You have good collaboration skills and are flexible, patient, and proactive with a low-arousal approach. You need to be able to solve problems that may arise independently as well as together with the team. You should also feel comfortable leading evening activities for youth. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Conditions

The position is a permanent employment. Start date by agreement. Working hours are primarily scheduled for evenings and nights on weekdays. Interviews will be conducted continuously during the application period.
