About the Job
We are now looking for a Senior Social Worker for an investigative unit at Children and Youth 7 in the Social Administration Nordost, located at the social office on Tellusgatan.
At Tellusgatan, there is a reception unit and three investigative units, a foster care unit, and two placement units. Together with an engaged team, you can make a difference for those we are here for.
In the investigative unit, we assess families' needs for assistance and protection based on applicable legislation and established guidelines following incoming reports/applications. We handle cases according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU), and we also follow up on granted assistance and contribute to utilizing the family's own resources and solutions.
As a Senior Social Worker, you will lead social workers based on applicable legislation and be responsible for case management and legal security. In your role, you will serve as an accessible and close support where you lead, coach, and provide methodological guidance in daily work. You represent the social services in individual committees and in any legal processes/negotiations. You are responsible for method development and keep yourself updated in the field through current research. Based on the assignment, you will collaborate with other actors, both internally and externally. You will also be part of a group of Senior Social Workers, which allows for good collegial support, as well as the strength to drive the development work of the children and youth operations in Nordost.
Children and Youth 7 consists of a unit manager, two Senior Social Workers, and 12 Social Workers. As a Senior Social Worker with us, you will support a group of six Social Workers. It is an exciting and stimulating operation where we collaborate and have a good working climate. The work is based on BBIC, Signs of Safety, and the SKR's investigation into improved documentation. We also work according to the FAS system, which provides conditions for a good working environment, reasonable workload, and recovery. There is also a great opportunity to influence and build the unit together with colleagues.
You will come to an exciting district with complexity that makes the work both varied and stimulating. You have external supervision together with your colleagues and have good opportunities to both develop yourself and develop others.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and several years of experience as a social worker within the authority's operations for Children and Youth. Previous experience in leadership is also considered an advantage. You should be well-versed in the legislation regarding interventions under the Social Services Act (SoL) and current coercive legislation (LVU). You also need to have good knowledge of the documentation system Treserva and experience and knowledge of working according to BBIC.
In the role of Senior Social Worker, you take responsibility for your and the shared tasks with the best interests of the operation in focus. You are keen to complete your tasks and ensure they are performed correctly. Furthermore, you have the ability to adapt your communication according to the recipient, target group, and situation. You can bring enthusiasm and energy through persuasive arguments that encourage good performance, team spirit, and increased motivation.
As a team leader, you are attentive and actively seek others' opinions and perspectives, being receptive to them by showing respect, consideration, and care. You place great importance on working for cohesion in the team and create space for dialogue. In your role as Senior Social Worker, you use time effectively and work systematically, organized, and methodically. You also ensure that the work is completed and follow up on results.
