Personal assistance is a service under LSS (The Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each client is unique and your tasks vary based on the client's needs. You respect the client's self-determination and integrity, and contribute to making everyday life run smoothly.

About the position

The role of a personal assistant requires a good ability to create secure relationships, as the work involves providing support in everyday life with all that it entails. Our client is a young woman who enjoys various activities, such as a day trip to Liseberg or a stay by the sea. Therefore, we are looking for someone who enjoys active assistance, both indoors and outdoors, and who is creative in coming up with tailored activities. It is of great importance that you are attentive and responsive to the signals our client gives you.

We are now looking for someone who meets the following:

• wants to work with a girl in her late teens living in Skärhamn

• has very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

• has a B driver's license and access to a car to travel to and from work. If you live nearby Skärhamn, this is not a requirement

It is also meritorious if you:

• have experience working in care and support

• have experience working with children and youth

• have experience with mobility impairments

• have experience with epilepsy

• have experience with alternative communication

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, employment rate, and salary:

The current employment form is "As long as the assistance assignment lasts" and there are varying employment rates based on a temporary increase in the decision as the client is to undergo surgery.

The period is between January and March, and there are positions from 50% up to 100% and will apply for 6 weeks sometime between January and March. Working hours will be between 7 AM and 10 PM and apply to both weekdays and weekends. Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other compensations will be according to collective agreements.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you, as an applicant, can present valid ID and any documents that prove the right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

According to legislation, we as employers are required to request a criminal record extract from all employees who will work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years old. Therefore, you need to present an extract from the police's criminal record before a possible employment. Further information will be provided if you proceed in the recruitment process.
