Do you want to make a difference as a support assistant in housing with special services?
We are now looking for four colleagues, three for permanent positions and one for a 6-month temporary position (with the possibility of extension) for our psychiatric units Grevegårdsvägen, Berghagavägen, Opaltorget, and Morsestigen in the Southwest.
About the job
The work is based on an individual and pedagogical approach where you motivate, strengthen, and preserve the tenants' abilities. The tasks vary from care to practical chores in the home, as well as participation in network meetings, medical conversations, and leisure activities.
As a support assistant, you will have contact with everyone in the tenant's network and be responsible for implementation plans, documentation, and monthly summaries. You work closely with users and provide support in daily life, both inside and outside the home. All employees perform delegated health and medical care tasks and work with social documentation and collaboration with internal and external actors.
Berghagavägen consists of 12 apartments and is located in Billdal. Opaltorget has seven apartments and is located in Tynnered. Grevegårdsvägen consists of 12 apartments and is located in Tynnered. Morsestigen consists of 6 apartments and is located in Frölunda. All units are aimed at people with psychiatric disabilities. The units are part of a cluster with 3 other similar units, and it is part of the work to collaborate across unit boundaries.
The work takes place during the day, in the evening, and every other weekend. We have a close collaboration and care about a good working environment where everyone's competence is utilized.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a degree from the Health and Care Program, support assistant education, or the Child and Leisure Program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The educational requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization in the disability area that includes at least 200 vocational points, 120 higher education credits, or a combination in between that corresponds to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should have relevant points in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
You have previous experience working as a support assistant, as well as at least one year of experience with the psychiatric and neuropsychiatric target group. If you have previously worked with comorbidity, it is an advantage. It is also an advantage if you have training in Independent Living (ESL), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Care and Support Coordination, and Low-Arousal Approach (LAB). If you have a driver's license, we see it as a positive since we have access to a car for our activities.
You need to be able to use our IT systems and be able to document. Therefore, you need to master the Swedish language in both speech and writing, which means a requirement for passing grades in Swedish 1, Swedish as a second language 1, or equivalent. Those who do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1 may be offered to take a language test through the test user Educateit.
You stand for the values that exist in your workplace and are keen to translate this into action based on the following competence areas: You are friendly and helpful to others even in a stressful situation. You show respect for everyone you meet at work.
You can see your work as part of a larger context and understand how it affects and is affected by other parts of the organization. You have a good understanding of how individuals absorb knowledge and their different conditions. You adapt the way you convey your message to the recipient and encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement.
