JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At SCB, exciting new investments in IT are underway to support SCB's statistical production. This investment involves the establishment of a new modern software-based data center and development platforms that, with new technology and new working methods, meet SCB's future statistical production. In connection with this investment, we are now looking for more employees in IT across various technical areas. We hope you want to be a part of our vision for the future.

Are you interested in joining us on our journey and working within the infrastructure unit in our newly built premises in the north of Örebro?

With us, you will work in a modern operational environment. You will take on a role where you, together with about thirty colleagues, work closely with system managers on the operation and development of SCB's IT infrastructure. We work a lot in project form when upgrades and new developments occur in the environment. Your responsibilities may change over time in line with the development of our new data center.

• be involved in developing our new software-based data center,
• work with projects, operations, and maintenance of IT infrastructure,
• together with the team ensure that the technical prerequisites exist to maintain the service's functionality in your areas,
• act proactively in the area, be involved in developing new solutions,
• brainstorm ideas for new solutions and improvement proposals with friendly experienced colleagues in the unit and develop a three-year roadmap for the services you work with,

QUALIFICATIONS

We would like you to have:

• A degree in IT or equivalent education/work experience that we consider equivalent
• The ability and experience to work in a structured and project-oriented manner
• General knowledge of Windows operations (e.g., AD permissions, Windows server)
• High knowledge and experience, having worked at least 3 of the last 5 years in one of virtualization, storage, and backup solutions:
• Data center
• Virtualization VMware virtualization platform
• Storage solutions
• Backup solutions
• The ability to express yourself fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Knowledge and experience in operations for one or more products/areas:
• Data storage NetApp, VMware vSAN/vCenter, DELL PowerScale, DELL PowerStore
• Data protection - NetApp, DELL PowerProtect
• Scripting PowerShell
• Data centers UPS, backup power, cooling, etc.
• ITIL foundation certification or work experience that we consider equivalent
• Experience working in larger complex IT environments with high security requirements.

For this to be a good match for both you and us, you need to be solution-oriented and quality-conscious. You are also self-driven, proactive, and structured, have good collaboration and communication skills, and enjoy working in a team.

It is important to have a distinct sense of automation and efficiency in IT operations, as well as the ability to manage and establish operational documentation.

OTHER

This position is in the Data Center section in Örebro. Depending on the business's conditions, there is also the possibility of working some time from home.

The employment is permanent and usually begins with a six-month probationary period. The start date will be agreed upon.

This position is security classified, so we will conduct a security review with a background check before making a hiring decision.
