Our systems are used in the daily lives of police officers around the clock, all year round. From ensuring secure border surveillance to completing a preliminary investigation for a trial.
The IT department of the Police Authority has over 1300 employees responsible for all IT used by the authority's 40,000 employees. We in the Border Surveillance group develop technically advanced systems from scratch to provide police officers and border control officers with the right conditions to prevent and combat crime. Our group, consisting of system developers, requirements analysts, project leaders, testers, solution architects, BI developers, and technical product specialists, now needs to be expanded with another dedicated system developer. Job Description:
As a developer with us, you are part of our wonderful, self-organizing agile development team. In your daily work, you will work with the team to develop new systems, help create solutions and architecture, participate in technical choices, optimize performance, achieve integrations, maintain security, and much more related to the development of secure systems for border surveillance. The systems we develop are also managed by us in production. To understand the needs of the organization, you will conduct business visits.
Our goal is to develop, have fun at work, and deliver the right things at the right time through continuous smaller deliveries and by constantly evaluating how we work. We all have an agile mindset where we deliver together and help out where we can.
Qualifications:
This is an opportunity for you who have:
- Relevant academic education in IT or equivalent education and acquired experience that the Police Authority deems equivalent.
- Current and relevant work experience in development in Java.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
The employment requires Swedish citizenship.
Meritorious
It is meritorious if you also have:
- Experience in frontend development, preferably in React or Angular or equivalent.
- Experience of agile methodology in development teams.
- Experience with Spring Framework or similar.
- Experience with relational databases.
