Building Conservationist

Temporary position 100% until (2027-01-15)

We are looking for you who are a building conservationist with a strong interest in building issues, community development, and curiosity about both people and history. The position is located within the Cultural Environment and Collections unit, where you will work alongside architectural conservators, archaeologists, marine archaeologists, and cultural heritage developers.

Job Responsibilities:

The role involves working with cultural environment issues from a broad perspective: handling PBL issues, conservation participation, investigations, inventories, advice, mediation, development issues, project management, etc. The geographical work field is primarily the landscape of Bohuslän. Mediation work in connection with public activities may also be relevant. The work as a building conservationist involves regular fieldwork, which requires a driver's license and access to a car.

Qualifications:

You have a degree in architectural/building conservation or equivalent relevant education, and preferably several years of experience with cultural environment and building issues from various perspectives. You have no problem working independently as well as in a team, and collaborate well with both colleagues and external parties. You are proactive, communicative and reflective, efficient, responsible, and able to prioritize. You have knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations and a very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.
